AV & Presentation Requirements
Setting the Stage for a Great Audience Experience
Great presentations are a partnership between the speaker, event team, and venue. These guidelines help ensure Bridgette can focus on what matters most—connecting with and serving your audience.
We recognize that venues and organizations have different capabilities. If any of these requirements present a challenge, please let our team know in advance. We’re happy to work with you to identify an appropriate alternative.
Presentation & Display
Bridgette’s presentations typically incorporate Microsoft PowerPoint slides and are designed for widescreen presentation.
Please provide:
Projection screen, LED display, or other presentation display appropriately sized for the audience and room
16:9 widescreen presentation capability
Laptop or presentation system capable of running Microsoft PowerPoint
Wireless presentation remote/clicker allowing Bridgette to control slide advancement
Appropriate audio connection to the room sound system when presentation content includes audio or video
Final presentation files can be provided to the event AV team in advance for testing and integration into the event program.
Presenter View / Confidence Monitor
A confidence monitor, floor monitor, or other presenter-view display is strongly preferred.
Ideally, the monitor should provide PowerPoint Presenter View, including:
Current slide
Next slide
Speaker notes
Presentation timer, when available
This allows Bridgette to remain connected with the audience rather than turning toward the main presentation screen. Confidence/presenter monitors are a common professional-speaker request for precisely this reason.
Microphone & Audio
Bridgette is an active speaker who moves throughout the presentation area and engages directly with the audience.
A wireless lavalier microphone is preferred so that she can speak and move naturally while keeping her hands free.
Please provide:
Wireless lavalier/lapel microphone
Professional room sound system appropriate for the audience size
Backup wireless microphone when available
Separate microphone for audience Q&A when the session includes Q&A or audience participation
A fixed podium microphone is not appropriate for Bridgette’s presentation style.
Stage & Presentation Space
Bridgette is not a podium speaker.
She prefers to move naturally throughout the presentation, engage with different areas of the audience, and use the available space as part of the experience.
If the room is traditionally configured around a podium or lectern, please provide a clear, safe presentation area that allows movement away from the podium.
Please ensure:
Adequate unobstructed space for movement
Cords, monitors, furniture, décor, stairs, and other equipment do not create trip hazards
Appropriate lighting across the usable presentation area—not only at the podium
Clear sightlines between Bridgette and the audience
If a podium is required for other presenters, it may remain on stage provided sufficient presentation space remains available
For elevated stages, safe stairs and handrails should be provided where appropriate.
Internet Access
Please provide reliable high-speed internet access for presenter use.
Internet access may be used for interactive presentation elements, audience engagement, live resources, or other program components.
Network access information should be available during the pre-event technical check.
Audience Materials
Many Bridgette Chambers workshops incorporate participant resources designed to help attendees engage with the content and continue applying what they learn after the session.
When presentation materials or workshop handouts are provided in advance, please arrange for printed copies in a quantity appropriate to the anticipated audience size.
Our team will coordinate with the event contact regarding the appropriate materials and recommended quantity before the event.
Unless otherwise agreed, presentation slides and copyrighted workshop materials should not be reproduced, distributed, published, or posted online beyond their intended use for the engagement.
Technical Check
Whenever possible, please provide an opportunity for a brief AV and stage check before the audience enters or before Bridgette’s scheduled presentation.
This allows Bridgette and the event team to confirm:
Microphone and audio levels
PowerPoint display
Presenter/confidence monitor
Slide advancement
Internet connectivity
Stage layout and safe movement
Lighting
Q&A or audience-participation logistics
For larger productions, please introduce Bridgette or a member of her team to the event’s AV lead or stage manager during this check.
For Larger Events
For conferences and larger audiences, we appreciate the event production team’s recommendations regarding additional screens, cameras, IMAG/video reinforcement, audience microphones, timers, and other production elements appropriate to the venue.
Our team is happy to coordinate directly with your production or AV team in advance.
One Simple Request
Our goal isn’t to make production complicated.
It’s to create an environment where Bridgette can spend less time thinking about technology and more time connecting with your audience.
If your venue cannot accommodate one or more of these requests, just let us know. We’ll work together to find a solution.
Speaker Introduction & Walk-On
Speaker Introduction
Bridgette’s approved bio, available on this speaker page, may be used as her event introduction and is appropriate for most programs.
We understand event formats and schedules vary. If you would like to shorten, expand, rewrite, or otherwise modify the approved bio for an introduction, printed program, event website, or promotional materials, please send the proposed version to our team for approval prior to use.
This helps ensure all biographical information remains accurate, current, and appropriate for the audience.
Walk-On
If your event includes walk-on or entrance music, please coordinate the selection with our team in advance.
We’re happy to work within an event’s theme or production style. Simply send the proposed music selection for approval, or our team can provide a preferred selection upon request.
Our goal is simple: a smooth introduction, an appropriate transition, and a great start for the audience.
